Very interesting piece, this! After studying it I gradually changed my mind on what it really is depicting. At first glance I thought it was a scene from a womans prison, with the blue suits and her vindictive gaze. Then looking at the figure on her right back it kind of looks like a choire boy/girl with a lantern, but the foreground character seem distant or cut off from her background, like she doesn't belong? I also love that you left the faces of the left characters out. It infuses some mysterious feeling to it, not to mention how well it has been executed in artistic technique. This is what it's all about -- well done!
Technically you'd be wrong on both counts, but your interpretations are really interesting. If you wanted to know:
This was for my AP concentration, which was based off a writing-based RPG of mine. This series (which for some reason I've been too lazy to post all of) investigated the races in the game. I borrowed my friend's character to show the race that's genetically able to do magic but can't, except for a random spell that's usually extremely powerful. Oh, and it goes off randomly, too. As such, most of them are institutionalized "for the safety of the public" and so on and so forth, generally treated like children, etc. etc. They're not very happy. tl;dr: Thank you so much for the great comment!
